The path of the cane has had some westward movement on the models...but still all still have the same general path north and east into or around Nova Scotia .
but the problem will of course be the surf and the high astronomical tides, and yes some wind..

As I put the final touches on this new available plan that frankly will be geared toward those who already have web sites and hosting that they like, this plan gives you additional coverage on the web, which additional URL are a good thing when it comes to Google and linking back and forth, as well as targeted information on a smaller site.

Well the pattern that has ruined half of the summer and most of the spring has now eased and shifted west.... We are now going to get into the Hazy Hot and Humid weather for the week and maybe some of the following week...but I guess too early to think that positive. Now straight up....the dirty little secret is ..a web designer creates a site, you get it burnt to a cd, you take it and go on your merry way, you host it for a year or so, then you want to make changes. Now you scout out for a web guy that is reasonable and knows what he or she is doing and he or she tells you, I don't have the software or the plug in licenses to use this design to edit without buying that software....THEN YOUR LEFT HOLDING THE BAG TRYING TO GET AT LEAST SOMETHING CHANGED IN THE HTML...

No thanks....I don't want to offer that as the only way I design sites.. BUT I am now going to offer 1 time designs, and give you free hosting for 1 year, with the minor maintenance included. These designs will run 2.5 times the rate as my yearly designed sites, and after the first year of free hosting and minor maintenance, you will be offered hosting here for $150 a year and any changes will be billed at the hourly (computer time only) $55.00hr.
For some this will work.... We design a site...you pay once....get 1 year hosting and minor maintenance to make sure the site is exactly what you want, then you don't have to worry about anything except the $150 yr hosting fee the second,third year etc.

OK PRETTY MUCH A NON SUMMER....BUT THINGS COULD BE A LOT WORSE

Sorry for the caps but thats the way its been for the past couple of months, way below normal temps and way above rainfall. Here in Maine where we treasure nice weather due to the longer winters and rainy early spring, this summer season has been a nightmare so far.Can we salvage August and early September ? Fingers crossed, but if we do and the pattern so spread more and more westward , I'm not all that sure the rains will be going away but more humidity and a warmer southwest flow will bring more of a summerly feel, which will feel like ultra warm considering how cool its been for the most part. With 5 of the last 24 days only being slightly above normal mostly due to higher lows, we are hoping for some improvement for the last week of July to more of an average temp, since we just follow the weather and computer modeling and climate patterns always use the NWS for anything official!!

THAT ALL SAID....... BESIDES THE COOLNESS ,

RAINFALL TOTALS AS OF TODAY FOR JUNE-THRU JULY 24TH MID DAY IN THE PORTLAND AREA IS 16.24 INCHES!!!!!! Normals says we are in the 5.78 range for the same time period. NOT GOOD! This also does not fair well for the upcoming winter season most experts are saying.

When I say things can be worse, this pattern in the middle of the winter would be brutal! I think we can all handle 70F and sunny, even tho 80-81 F is the norms.

Mainers Having A Cool Summer

July has been wet and will be getting WETTER, but on top of that after our NON-SPRING well at least a spring with a few decent days in a row, July has followed step with June so far.
As of July 20th departure from normals are - 4F, and some spots even higher.

Lets hope for a chance soon or winter 09-10 could very well become a big issue. But summer isn't over and some of Maine's best weather is in September at least the first couple of weeks.Lets all root on August.... ;)

Summer 2009 When?

Yeah what happened to Spring as well, but of late the last few weeks have been eye opening to say the least and has become quite annoying when Mainer's live for this time of the year up here.
Since midnight 2.60 inches of rain has fallen on top of last month's close to 10 inches in spots, and thats not the only problem with temperatures in the 50s and low 60s more than a handful of June and July, like most of the time. Normal highs are around 77F 78F and 50s don't cut it!

Good news....a short break on the way the next few days....!
